Graduate Career Consortium Condemns Recent Anti-Asian Violence

3/23/2021

The Graduate Career Consortium leadership strongly condemns racial violence and the recent hate crimes against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in the Atlanta area. We mourn the recent loss of Daoyou Feng, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, Delaina Ashley Yuan, Julie Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jeong Park Grant, Suncha Kim, and Yong Ae Yue in this past Wednesday’s racist attacks, as well as those who were injured. We stand in solidarity with AAPI communities and will not be silent in the face of xenophobia, racism, hate, and acts of anti-Asian violence.

In particular, we extend our support to our colleagues and trainees who are directly impacted by the threat and intimidation posed by these and similar hate crimes.

Sincerely,
Your GCC Executive Board
