2018 GCC Annual Conference, Madison
The GCC Conference Planning Committee invites you to register for the 2018 GCC Annual Conference, held June 26-29, 2018, in Madison, Wisconsin. This year, the conference theme is “Discovery and Development: Empowering Others, Empowering Ourselves.”The conference will take place at the Pyle Center on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on the shores of Lake Mendota and at the Madison Concourse Hotel located in beautiful downtown Madison. The Pyle Center and the Madison Concourse are a 15-minute walk apart, largely linked by the State Street pedestrian mall lined with shops and restaurants.
Preliminary Schedule and Programming
June 26: “New Graduate Career Professionals Workshop,” Madison Concourse Hotel
This pre-conference session is an all-day workshop intended for conference registrants who are new to the profession or to working specifically with graduate students or postdoctoral scholars.
June 26: Opening evening reception for all conference attendees, Madison Concourse Hotel
June 27 – June 28: Events held at the Pyle Center, UW-Madison campus
June 29: Conference concludes at noon. Events held at the Madison Concourse Hotel.
Conference programming aims to bring together our community to share ideas, tools, and resources through workshops, oral presentations, and posters presented by members. The Conference Committee is also working to include an interesting array of speakers and exhibitors, special events, and receptions where we can continue to exchange ideas and information about career and professional development for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
The call for proposals for member-generated programming will open shortly.
Registration Fees and Deadlines
Pre-conference: $100 (includes breakfast and lunch)
Conference: $460 (includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 receptions)
Regular Registration Deadline for Conference and Pre-conference is May 1.
Late Registration fee is $75.
